They are transducers that work on the principle of hydrostatic pressure. The associated compensation for changing atmospheric pressure is performed by means of a venting tube within the transducer cable.
There is no possible liquid penetration into the electronics compartment, since it is properly secured: ingress protection IP68 (IP Code) is in place.
Since the sensors pickup the pressure increase with increasing depth and liquid densities differ, the sensor shall be suitably calibrated on every specific application.
The sensors can be properly designed so as to keep the diaphragm clear of possible impurity contamination, thus assuring a seamless functioning and accurate hydrostatic level measurements.
Sensors are available for the following measuring ranges:
- 0 … 40 cm H2O;
- 0 … 250 cm H2O.
Cable material shall be chosen depending on the specific working liquid.
Optionally, tubes and clamping devices may be delivered.
