They are used as protective equipment with pressure - and vacuum installations. In the same time, they are explosion-proof (anti deflagrant) under atmospheric pressure conditions.


The PROTEGO product range offers flame arrester equipped pressure venting valves, - vacuum venting valves and also a combination model of venting valve fit for both pressure and vacuum. The basic design concept regarding the pallet of the valve is to allow for complete valve opening until the increasing pressure reaches a 10% limit under the admitted overpressure value.
At usual valves, the overpressure value lies between 40 % and 100 % of set value. These valves open at low overpressure values and close behindhand, which results in significant loss of working fluid.
Instead, the "10% technique" allows for setting the pressure at only 10% under the maximum admitted pressure value, which results in reducing the loss by more than 30 %.

In order to secure safe long-term operation, the internal structure parts are made of high-grade stainless steel.
