Immersion probe level transducers / transmitters

Immersion-type level transducers are based on the principle of immersed body property, according to which an upward push is exerted onto the immersed body equalising the weight of the displaced volume of fluid (ascending - or Archimedian force). The immersed body (level probe) is made of a cylindrical tube that moves once the fluid level changes, but also follows proportionally in its immersion the fluid level increase. The immersion depth is variable, as a function of its own weight, Archimedian force and the associated suspension element drag.

In most cases, an arm is used as suspension element that is attached to a torsion tube, also serving as transmission element of the immersed tube position outside the container. So, the fluid level "information" is transmitted, without the need of a sealing element.
