The measuring system is based on the capacitive measuring method. The measuring probe and the container / tank wall (the later actually the second electrode) make the two capacitor acting plates. The measured value is proportional to the immersion depth of the "electrode" probe.
These capacitive level transducers are designed for continual level measuring of liquids, bulk powder or other granular solids, contained in tanks, silos, diverse containers and reservoirs, etc.
The device consists of a stainless steel casing, enclosing an electronic measuring module and a specific electrode. The electrode type is dependent on the actual application and the working substance involved in immersion. The probe mechanism may include either a rod or a cable. Functioning is based on the principle of probe capacitance variation with the level.
The device output current signal can be transmitted on long distances.
The device sensitivity can be selected out of 8 available ranges.
